The butterfly in the painting is the Common Jezebel butterfly The rest is my imagination taking wings.
The butterflies and all the recent changes in the world around us makes me think of metamorphosis. Metamorphosis is the greatest symbol of change for the better. And a hope that something beautiful can arise out things that seem completely opposite.
