Asalpha, Mumbai.

Asalpha is a neighborhood in Ghatkopar, Mumbai and gets its name from the East Indian village by the same name. A couple of years ago a group of 750 volunteers decided to paint the slum in vivid vibrant colors under a non-profit initiative called "Chal Rang De" (Let Us Paint) intended to give Mumbai's slums a technicolor facelift by painting over its problems. By painting the walls with vibrant hues in a colorful amalgam of local stories and talent, they believe it changes peoples perspective on slums and creates positive emotions among residents.
